This album was recorded live during my tour in Japan 2016. It has many significant meanings to me. It marks my first time performing in mainland Japan and my first solo performance as I achieve a new stage of performative methods.

“Prana” means breathe in Sanskrit. The act of inhaling and exhaling together synchronizes the performers as well as the audience into a collective state of consciousness throughout the duration of the show.

I went deeply, introspectively into my mind, exploring the interplay between my consciousness and subconsciousness

This is an experimental work using improvisational techniques that explores and expands on ethnic sensibilities such as that of Chinese, Malay and Indian in a modern voice I explored Chinese flutes with extended techniques such as flute boxing and the manipulation of sounds through electronic effects pedals; vocal techniques such as throat singing and whistling; a self made slide didgeridoo; and elements of performance art.
